Eucot Hot Springs
With its
secure, protected achorage, awesome scenery and one of the largest,
most comfortable natural hot springs, Eucot Bay should be a prime
destination. This hot springs tub is long enough to swim across. The
water temperature is completely adjustable and only takes minutes to
completely heat up or cool down. The trail is easy and beautiful. If
you're low on ice, grab some from a snow avalanche located across the bay in a shadey shoreline.

Namu
Whether
you're
on your way to Hakai Provincial Park or just
sailing
around King Island, Namu is a great place to stop for provisions
(diesel, ice, water, etc.)
Namu
is the
site of a traditional Heiltsuk
fishing village, which is one of the most ancient
human
settlements of
the northwest coast. In
1893, a cannery was built on this
historic site
and closed in the late 1960's. This historic harbor is now a virtual
ghost town.
Even
with
with a population of four, there is plenty of
friendly hospitality. You can dock overnight for a small charge,
explore the town and even take hot showers.
The
dock has
an amazing
community building complete with a huge indoor fire pit and full
kitchen facilities. All with a beautiful view of Namu Harbor.

We
highly
recommend rounding out your trip with a visit to historic
Talheo Cannery Inn / Bed
& Breakfast. From the moment you tie up to the
private dock
you'll feel as though you're stepping back in time. The trail to
the complex is perched high atop a rock ledge and lined with
antique kerosene lanterns. The views of the bay are spectacular;
dolphins seals and eagles abound.
Spend
the
afternoon exploring the historic cannery buildings
which have been single handily restored by the owner. Soak up the sun
in total privacy at one of the pristine beaches.
Hike the trails
through the rain forest until the dinner bell rings. You're invited to
enjoy a home cooked meal prepared on an antique cook stove. The cook
house/ restaurant is very cozy. Eat inside or out. Local seafood is
their specialty. All vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown on the
premises. Accommodations in the 'bunk house' are simple clean and
loaded with rustic charm. Take a hot bath in a claw foot tub or enjoy
the
